Rents and Rain

Yep.  Another blog post about rain.  But this time it actually rained hard enough to create two miniature rivers in the car park. It was crazy!  (i.e. the brown riverish lines in the picture)

Besides the rain I officially have my room cleaned and am all packed up.  I'll have to pack my bed stuff tomorrow and my p.j.s, but this means I am ready to go. Go where?  Oh you know. Just around Australia.   Road trip with the parents!  (They get here tomorrow!) I am so excited to get out and do some more traveling before I head home for the summer.  I'll be sure to update when we have internet access so you can see the neat places we go!

Horse Back Riding in Oz!

Today my roomie Hillary and friend Kim (plus two other girls) went horseback riding on the beach!  It was amazing!  We went to Tassiriki Ranch in Ballina and rode through sugar cane fields, past a wildlife reserve, then on to a beach.  It was so great!

I cannot wait till summer comes and I get to ride WindDancer every day during horse camp.

Here are some photos from my day:

More Photos

I am so excited I cannot contain myself.  Why? Because I am going horseback riding today on the beach!!  Which is going to be awesome and amazing!  I'll be sure to take lots of pictures and blog about it tonight.  Hopefully it doesn't rain too much harder or they won't less us go.  So my next post is sad then you know I didn't get to go because it was raining to hard. (But I hope this rain stops soon!)

Well, here are some more photos that I edited.  Check 'em out!

Done (w/photo edits)

As of today, I am officially done with my schooling at Southern Cross University.  By next Thursday my mom and dad will be in Australia and we will be off on a grand adventure before returning to the states!

Last night we got a new roommate to replace Nicole since she left.  It's an Asian guy.  Not sure how I feel about living with a guy.  He seems nice enough though.  Besides, when you think about it I only have five days left at Orion College - so it will be fine. Except I hate the smell of seafood and rice!

So, I was fairly bored last night and spent all night playing with photoshop and editing some photos. You might as well have a look.

P.S. You should let me know what you think in the comments below.   :)

Last Day at the Centre

Today was my last day at the Koala Care Centre.  It's really sad. I love working with the little fuzzies!  But it was a good work day so that's ok. Plus I know they are in good hands.

Bondi

Here are some of the pictures I took from Bondi Beach.  Bondi is Australia's most famous beach and perhaps the most well known down under.  Normally Bondi is wall to wall people, but apparently no one goes to the beach in "winter" on a Monday.  Works for me!

It's already Wednesday here in Lismore and I've still got to study and write two essays before Friday.  But as soon as I post this I am going to write. Then memorize. Then buy cereal because I am all out!

Goodbye Sydney

I love Sydney!  And I'm sad to say good bye to this crazy wonderful city and the awesome people I have meet.  I will put the rest of the pictures up later, but tonight Cate and I went Bondi beach this morning in Sydney. And we bought matching Bondi sweatshirts.  Heck yes.

The Things You See

Blue Mountains

Today Cate, Tamara, Mariela, and I headed up to the Blue Mountains for a great day of fun!  After stopping in to see Cate's friend we went to Leura (the town) to look at the shops and eat some amazing Thai food. When in Leura is was decided that we needed a taffy fix so we went to the candy shop!

...and it was like stepping into a small version of Willy Wonka's factory. Floor to ceiling candy. Candy in every corner. Candy every where!  And there was "American" candy too! Hah. I definitely got some. :)  Plus I got some fantastic little taffys, although I believe they are almost all gone!

Once that little adventure was over, it was off to see the famous Blue Mountains.  Check 'em out! Aren't they amazing?
Three Sisters (The rocks behind me)

We also went to Flat Rock, which is a awesome place to have some picture taking fun! Especially because it is a huge flat rock with steep drop offs on all sides!

King the World!  Or maybe Titanic?

I did NOT carve this. Bought I found it. How awesome?!
Love my initials.

It was a perfect day too!  The weather was amazing and it was never to chilly.  Oh but wait - there's still more to see. Like me watching my first rugby game!  (Go Tigers!) We watched the NRL Wests Tigers vs Panther at Campbelltown Stadium. And I was cheering for the Tigers.  (Mainly because that animal was my high school mascot but also because I like the Orange/Black color combo.)  It was a great game and a awesome day to say the least!

A Try!

Third Tackle

P.S.
The Tigers won. And I bought a scarf to celebrate. :)
